We anchored the design of the home's entry sequence to the extant 60-foot tall, broad canopied sycamore at the front corner of the lot. Its presence from the street, to the intermediate courtyard then once entering the interior and from within this natural monument continuously appears. Guests are met with two-story walls of glass extending the vista to the canyon where the distant views are the boundaries for living. The overarching connection to the surrounding landscape felt throughout this home reinforces our studio's commitment to imagine spaces that directly engage with place. Located on a half acre hillside lot in Bel Air, the home offers a gestalt of surprises as you explore both floors: a catwalk bridge separating bedroom suites above, a dramatic dining room with bespoke lighting, a masked garage, a lap pool with spa and native trees filling the large windows while offering ample room to play. Construction completion expected by end of 2026.
